About this photo...
Through the Via Sacra or the Via Noya, beyond the Basilica Julia, from the Temple of Dioscures Castor and Pollux and the Atrium Vestae, we will reach this arch of the Roman triumph (at the background), the world’s oldest arch. Domitianus constructed the arch in year 81 A.D., evoking the Roman triumph against the Jewish revolution in Palestina and the invasion of Jerusalem by Vespasian as well as by his son Titus in year 71.
