ROMA GALLERY in collaboration with the GEORGE ZONGOLOPOULOS FOUNDATION present the exhibition “GEORGE ZONGOLOPOULOS: familiar projects, sculptures from his home and studio”, which is inaugurated on December 12th, 2019 and will run until February 29th, 2020. The exhibition curated by Katerina Koskina, presents for the first time many “widely unknown” sculptures of medium and small scale created by George Zongolopoulos, that always accompanied the artist at his home and studio in Psychiko. Bronze, stainless steel, plexiglas are media and raw materials of sculptures that have been crafted for about 50 years and cover different periods of creation of the renowned sculptor. These are complete artworks to which he returned sometimes to supplement them with new elements and sometimes to enlarge them or to borrow from them elements for new ones.
